The Shire of Ravensthorpe is undertaking a Boat Ramp Study to help plan for the future of local boat launching facilities at Hopetoun Beach, Masons Bay and Starvation Bay. The study will also consider how people use the Hopetoun groyne ramp. The survey will help the Shire better understand how the community uses and perceives the current boat ramps and will support a feasibility study to identify preferred improvement options that meet stakeholder needs.
This project is supported through the Department of Transport’s Recreational Boating Facilities Scheme and will assess existing facilities, consult with stakeholders, define desirable service levels and identify indicative costs for possible improvement measures at the three boat launching facility sites.
Your feedback will help the Shire understand current use, challenges, safety and access issues, and what improvements the community would like considered. The study will incorporate community feedback into the development of options, while also recognising that each site has its own constraints and limitations.
Please have your say by Monday 26 October 2026.
Thank you for taking the time to help guide future planning for boat ramp facilities in the Shire of Ravensthorpe.
